Match of the Day
Published by Allison July 10th, 2005 in DatingThis is a *good* match of the day.
I’ve felt a little discouraged at the utter dearth of interested/ing candidates from my venture back into online dating. While I’ve had hundreds…no, thousands of “views” of my profile, I’ve had very few people express interest, and those who have…well, they’ve not really done it for me. What I forgot to keep in mind is that if one single person responds who *is* more like what I’m seeking, it’s all worthwhile.
Someone like that replied today with a great note. He’s my kind of eclectic, and he’s — get this — a history professor. He lives in Loveland (roughly 2-1/2 hours or so away), but really, that’s a bit of a relief, because there won’t be pressure to move too quickly. I’ll be interested to see where this goes. Hmmm…
Now, if Maya would calm down on the whole crazy-teething-baby thing, I might actually get to compose a decent reply.
